Judging by Trinity's link, they took your photo and labeled it as house finches.

Judging by Trinity's link, they took your photo and labeled it as house finches. Okay, okay. I corrected my Flickr page and the one here. Thanks to trinity for noticing.

Here's a shot of a Great Egret preening with chatting with some friends on the Ichetucknee River, near Gainesville, FL. The Ichetucknee is a spring fed river, crystal clear, and a beautiful canoe/kayak trip. It is a tributary of the Santa Fe River. It is now a State Park.

It is indeed a Ptarmigan on a rock, must be a... Rock Ptarmigan. :-P Saw several of them with chicks on our travels through Gros Morne.

Just saw a male cardinal in the now snow-free back yard, along with a much smaller bird which flew so quickly past that I couldn't even get a glimpse of it. After a few seconds, the cardinal followed. Both were heading for a yew still offering little red berries.
The back yard and the garden section are now almost totally snow free after the warm-up of earlier this week. It's good to see the birds again!
