Base depths at the Sierra resort I powder skied Saturday and then again yesterday Tuesday, are now 121" to 141 inches or 10 to 12 feet deep. On a run called Creekside that was already tracked up, I vectored off into pristine snow surfaces of the tall forest in order to find a lonely place to get inspired and found I was not lonely at all because all around me were happy snow folk.

That looks fabulous. Many ski resorts in the southern Appalachians are starting to wonder if their days in business are coming to an end. :(

Very clever "snow folk", and beautiful, peaceful serene forest scenes. They're very calming.

Nice photos. I hate skiing trees because I'm not that good.

Wow! I would love to have some snow like that, it's been a pretty boring winter, snow-wise, in Chicago.

Wow! I would love to have some snow like that, it's been a pretty boring winter, snow-wise, in Chicago. But for $80 or so round trip during winter one can fly Chicago to Denver then visit any in a list of nearby ski resorts in real mountains with lots of snow. Fresh light snow has an amazing ethereal feel beyond words. You're young so just do it and experience some wonderful fun.
