I love living where I live because of the winter outdoor recreation opportunities. i enjoy trail running in the mud and then snow and, once the trails freeze and become snow covered, get in all the Nordic skiing I can. We also consider winter time our primary backpacking season and get out into the mountains (primarily in Pennsylvania) as often as we can in this season. We hope to be on snowshoes or skis as often as possible. We were just out last weekend in the Quehanna area and saw our first snow of the season on a 30 mile loop. Temps ranged from 65 degrees to about 27 degrees. Perfect!
