I have not yet been out backpacking except for day hikes. I haven't had reason to pack a tent or sleeping back etc on my back. So in reality, I couldn't really tell you how my frame will hold up to my gear load, or even how much my load will be. My target number for no other reason than it being a WAG (wild ass guess) is to shoot for 30# or less with tent, sleeping bag, sleep pad, 1 complete change of clothes, rain and cook gear, 2-3 pair of clean dry socks, and whatever assorted other accouterments. Good thinking process. Now add in food poundage per day and water. A 5 pound bag is about 16.66 percent of the 30 pound target. I own a 20 pound weighted vest, in the spring; I begin training with the 20 pound vest on a treadmill at 3 to 15 degree incline. May I suggest you put on a day pack at the gym and put 50 pounds of weight into the bag (weight of gear and food for a week and water) and see if this is what you want to carry for 8,10,12 hours per day.

Sleeping insulation is the best gear to truly invest in. It's also the place you're going to buy twice if you skimp the first time.

I just keep wodering if these bags I see on Amazon are any good ans also packable? Small enough to call it a backpackable size bags? If they are 1-2 lbs heavier then what is the normal weight for a backpack bag I can live with it if I have to.

The big synthetic bags are generally the least compressible option.

My answer to "I just keep wodering if these bags I see on Amazon are any good ans also packable" is no. But if that is what you can afford then its better then nothing so that you can get out there in the woods. You may be able to find a compression stuff sack for the larger sleeping bags that should make them fit into your backpack.
