Cornbread or biscuits? How could you ask me to make such a choice?

I think "corn biscuits" are called muffins.

I'm evil, wicked, mean and nasty. I want to torture your soul. Clearly, because one cannot choose between the two!

Biscuits, absolutely, especially Ruby Tuesday's biscuits with touches of garlic, cheddar cheese and sometimes parsley. They're "melt in your mouth delicious."

What MK said - "As long as butter and honey are involved, does it really matter?"
Boom!

We like to drizzle honey on top of the cornbread batter right before we put it in the oven. Makes a nice sweet and chewy crust. ...more like corn cake once it's done.

I do the same. Also slow cook some chopped onions and mix them in the batter. hmmmm, I'll try that. I usually mix a small can of cream corn in the batter. ...and always use a preheated skillet to get the perfect crust.

Mom would put cornbread in her buttermilk and swear it was the best snack. Something I haven't had in a long time, but many evenings in the summer, Dad's supper would be sliced, fresh tomatoes, milk, and cornbread (crumbled up into the mix, of course). Usually had it in a quart-sized glass pitcher (why? not sure.)

Sweet yellow onions, slowly cooked in olive oil or butter. Agreed, the skillet must be preheated in the oven.

Used to watch my husband's (born and raised) Mississippi grandmother cook her cornbread, in an iron skillet, on the stove top. That was melt-in-your-mouth-to-die-for goodness. Mercy! Those Mississippi women can cook!
