Mt Toll front and center over Blue Lk. Great climb. I thought you would probably know for sure. Thanks.

Mt Toll front and center over Blue Lk. Great climb. From a distance, it looked like you have to cross a couple miles of talus to get there. Is it better going than it looks?

Glad you got out and had a good time. There's a reason elk hunters don't venture far away from roads unless pack animals are available. Elk are HEAVY!

Glad you got out and had a good time. There's a reason elk hunters don't venture far away from roads unless pack animals are available. Elk are HEAVY! Some years ago I ran into an elk hunter more than 10 miles in from nearest TH. He was bowhunting and he was base-camped for most of a week. He said if he got one it would take him a bunch of trips to get it out. He'd already done 2 1/2 round trips just to set up camp. There were no elk in the long glacial valley he was working, but I told him where I'd seen some the day before a couple valleys over. That would have added another four miles for him each way.
