the Park wants people to access it via boat....
and they have it labeled like that on the map....
however, it is accessible by foot when the water is low......
like winter time....
in my quest to stay at all the campsites in the park----thats how i did it...
go in winter----make sure its low water..........walk the shoreline and find the campsite.....
to be honest though-----its not that thrilling of a campsite........
glad i did it once---but not again...
also----fwiw-----campsite 72 cannot be accessed by foot............
it looks that way on the map, but its a small little island that one would have to ankle deep wade through to get there..........if one could find a trail that went down from lakeshore.....

hey Kevin, I could be mis-remembering, but isn't there a sign pointing to CS66 on Noland Creek? When I was researching my most recent hike I saw some youtube videos of folks staying at 66 enjoying a rope swing... wheeeeeee!

i dont recall a sign pointing to 66 from the noland creek trail.......
what i do remember is a sign saying that the trail ended........basically right before the creek emptied into the lake............
and rope swing?
dont think i saw that either.......
and interesting enough, of the times ive paddled on fontana (and the surrounding lakes), i dont recall seeing many rope swings....
i do remember one on lake santeelah at the campsite thats on a point right near where a cemetery is located....

i should also note that im not a big rope swinging kinda guy........
so, my recollection of them could be skewed based on my not being *that* kind of swinger......
