Amateur here from Florida, interested in getting more involved in the community and getting some real backpacking experience under my belt this upcoming year. If anyone is from the Northern Florida area I'm always down for a good hike

Greetings! We're all amateurs here (at least, as far as I know, none of us has managed to get paid for going hiking). But there is certainly a lot of experience here.
Before we'll share any other that, we need to know how you feel about kilts beets brussels sprouts okra and blast, what's the other thing?

and blast, what's the other thing? Bacon, otherwise known as Bacon, unless, you're Canadian aye, then it's Back Bacon, a totally different meat.

I've been to Jacksonville then we drove in a rented car to St. Simon's in Georgia. In the future I'm sure I would like hiking!

I appreciate the warm welcome everyone! I've personally never worn a kilt but I respect anyone who does. Not a fan of okra, brussel sprouts, or okra. Bacon is a must when I'm camping.

Bacon? single malt scotch? Bacon. I must be getting old, if I could look at that list and not see that bacon is missing!

Welcome! I'm thinking all of you who hate okra just haven't had it cooked right. I'm feeling a little bad for one of my favorite veggies.

Hi there! Welcome! I'm in central Florida. Lots of good hiking, especially in another month or 2 when the weather cools off a bit.

I live in Tampa. I do not backpack as much as I use to due to a bad back but I am usually up for a hike, paddle or sail. Welcome to the forum.

Bacon, otherwise known as Bacon, unless, you're Canadian aye, then it's Back Bacon, a totally different meat. "What about pork? Ham? Bacon?!" "Those all come from the same animal, dad!" "Yeah, right, Lisa. A magical meat animal." Welcome from Canada. Yes, we get the Simpsons here too.
