You all may have to roll me down the hill in September. We will just put you on one of the wheelbarrows and BlueBear can wheel you around. He's good at that!

I really want to do the hike, but I am a trail turtle. No matter how fast I go, I am always last. Even small children and elderly zip past me. 🐢

I know! But I'm doing at least 2 trips this summer/fall without the spouse, and that's a lot already.

Tell him to hurry up and graduate already. LOL! I'll tell you a secret, though: as a prof, he pulls more all-nighters than either of us did as students.

Any suggestions for us newbies coming? I've never camped in Colorado.

But as the sun came up it warmed up quickly, and the hiking weather turned out to be quite good that year. Low humidity is always a plus. Per the PG denizens it turned out to be a relatively dry year in terms of alcohol, but water is one key to avoiding or minimizing altitude issues. IIRC PG is at about 7800ft.

There are 2 large bear proof lockers we use to store food in. No electricity. Pit toilet close by, with 2 stalls and locking doors. Usually has TP.
Snow is always a possibility in Sept at altitude.
