Irma change of path resulted in cat 1 winds in Tampa and not the expected cat 3 winds. I stayed at a shelter for less than 24 hours before heading home. House is fine and I just got my power back last night. So I will be able to make Pickle Gulch this year. I will take of in the am and look forward to seeing all on Friday. 😀

Just pulled into Leadville after 4 days in Missouri Basin (Collegiate Peaks). I'm a bit slow and sore, but I'll probably be motivated again by tomorrow.

There's fresh snow down to about 12,000 in the mountains around Leadville. People are saying it could come down to 10,000 tonight.

75 minutes of stirring and my Roux is finally done ! Throw in the Mirepoix, to let it sweat, and the rest is "easy" .....come tomorrow !  |

75 minutes of stirring and my Roux is finally done ! Throw in the Mirepoix, to let it sweat, and the rest is "easy" .....come tomorrow ! Dang it! Loves me some dark roux. |
