I need a food assignment. We don't do "food assignments". Check the post I did earlier about general thoughts on food.

I've changed my Saturday plan from hiking to getting my 8 mile training run in. Weather will dictate where I and my running buddy do that. Either Tolland Rd or down in Boulder. I should be back in plenty of time for meal preparation (likely before lunch, even).

Those flying in usually grab food from a grocery to feed themselves for breakfast Sat and lunches and snacks for hiking. There will be cooler space available. If you want to grab a dessert or the like to share Fri/Sat, it's completely up to you, but definitely not required. There are a couple/few of us who make main dishes for dinners Fri and Sat night. Right now, we're looking at one vegetarian and one meatatarian ( ) dish to choose from, plus whatever anyone else brings to share. :D Donuts/bacon/eggs are on the menu for Sunday morning. Note to self: buy griddle

Group tarps live at my house. They are packed and ready for use. Zeke has the big kitchen shelter, too. He claims he has a better way to hold it down in case of wind

I've changed my Saturday plan from hiking to getting my 8 mile training run in. Sounds perfect for a trail run! It does. However, my body is nowhere near ready to run 4 miles up hill 1,500' and then 4 miles downhill 1,500'. I'm currently in easy, flat'ish trail mode.

I'm currently in easy, flat'ish trail mode. Easy and flat can still be a trail. I headed for those "out east" Boulder trails when I needed flat around there (names are escaping me. It has clearly been too long since we spent a summer out there).

It's to the point now that my runs will take us further into town. The TH I start from is Broadway and Cherryvale, run out to 93, then back (that is 6.8 miles round trip). I have a hard time calling them trails sometimes, even though they are dirt.

South Boulder Creek trail out by Cherryvale Rd That one is seriously flat. There's one that goes by something like White Rock? North of there. If I weren't lazy, I'd look at the map. And nothing like thread drift...back to PG.

Right now, we're looking at one vegetarian and one meatatarian ( ) dish to choose from, plus whatever anyone else brings to share. :D Judging by Smowpeaks responses at the PG facebook page, she might need to bring a whole 1/2 side of beef for the Beef- a- tarians !! ! Also, last year, lostone took it on himself, to be up at O'dark 30 to cook breakfast for the "Peak Bagger" group. In any event, for those not knowing what to bring, you don't have to bring anything, but think of this an open air, 3 day "pot-luck". Fruit bowls, chips/dips and salsas, cheese/sausage and crackers, etc help keep the picnic tables filled for the grazers between the main events.

The official NOAA weather forecast continues to decrease the chances for rain, at this time, but tomorrow morning it could change. Right now it's only 20%. But every new model run drops the temps a few more degrees. At the CG itself, Saturday is only supposed to top out at 56/58F with a night temp of 38/40F.

Note to self: buy griddle When I first saw the page, I read this as "Note to self: buy girdle"... LOL I'm embarrassed to say that this will be my only bag nights this summer and came close to having to back out because of work earlier this week. But I'm determined to be there hell or high water! Will do a shopping stop Friday morning in Denver. So if anyone has any last-minute needs, message me and I can pick it up. I'm bringing junk food -- what happens when I'm work-stressed.
