echo everything we get written and especially finished is a triumph! My triumph for 2016 was the 3rd book in the Ninja Librarian series.

I keep a travel blog of my adventures. I was helping a friend get her travel blog launched, and was re-writing a lot of her stories, when I decided I should write my own stories. Also, I have a horrible memory so someday I can look back and try to remember all my trips! www.campfiresandconcierges.comI try to post twice a month, but only if there's anything interesting to post! When I quit my job later this year and travel full time, I expect to post more frequently from the road! sarbar you should link to your books. Oatmeal to go sounds interesting, but when I search "Oatmeal to Go Kindle" on Amazon, the 2nd search result is a book called "Chasing Pussy" LOL! Not what I had in mind...

Starting with 3 weeks hiking in the Swiss Alps, then back here for an extended road trip with my dog - Idaho/Oregon, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and if I'm not out of money, hopefully Baja Mexico for the winter Looking to eventually settle in Tucson, Flagstaff or Salt Lake.

November is coming up again, and I am determined to finish the rough draft I’ve had stagnating for too many years. Anyone else going to participate in National Novel Writing Month this year?

Anyone else going to participate in National Novel Writing Month this year? I'm skipping NaNo, in favor of finishing the edits on the new PTA mystery. When I have that out, and maybe have made a start on revisions for the novel I drafted last November, I will pick my own NaNo (maybe do Camp NaNo in April if I'm not ready before that) and do the next one. Just have to decide which idea in my head I want to run with.

I have several by-lines in the Huachuca Scout, the now defunct newspaper published by Fort Huachuca in southern Arizona. By declaring I wasn't going to reenlist, I couldn't participate in a new classified project. So, my last 6 months of active duty, I was a "stringer" for the local post paper. Did lots of interviews, wrote about some hiking trails in the Huachuca Mountains, and covered the installation of the first and largest solar array on any U.S. military installation. That was in late 1979 through spring 1980.

In 1981 (ancient history), I wrote "Oklahoma Iron-Horse Watching, a Guide," which was a guide for railfans. Many of the depots are gone now that I documented, along with locomotive maintenance facilities, but it was fun researching and tedious writing. I finally figured out that I made a profit of $5.00.

I finally figured out that I made a profit of $5.00. That sounds about right. But you got the fun of researching it Trainspotting for Oklahoma.

You all make me wonder, what might have been. My english teacher in high school really tried hard to get me to major in english in college claiming that I had a talent for writing. I always did get good grades in english, especially in the writing assignments. I guess maybe I might have been good at it but at the time I did not care for it all. Just more homework. I was more interested in computers and electronics. Ah well...such is life.

My english teacher in high school really tried hard to get me to major in english in college claiming that I had a talent for writing. Your computers and electronics almost certainly provided you with a more convincing income. And if you didn't/don't like writing, it would never work.
