It could be a good one this year. Unfortunately, the forecast here calls for partly cloudy skies. Hopefully, things will be better where you're at.

I've already seen several over the past week. Should only get stronger but like you we have storms in the forecast.

One day I'll have good weather for viewing without having to travel too far.

Saw a few a couple of nights ago. Got rain last night but it's supposed to be clear next couple of nights. I bought a couple of new Adirondack chairs for our back deck just in time

All predictions point to nearly double the normal average; that's probably why they are predicting a 40-50% chance of storms for the peak night here.
If you do plan to watch, you'll need to wait until the moon sets as well, ~ 1 AM, but that's about the time the radiant is actually getting high enough to see.
But in any event, it's hard to get worked up for a mere 100-200/hr "shower", after seeing the Great Leonid Storm of 2001.
My wife and I drove 2 hrs to a pristine dark-site, and watched the 3,000 - 3,500/ hr meteors for 4 hours, even past sunrise. An hour after the sun came up, there were still at least 1 per minute fireballs trailing across the sky. We saw more meteors in 3 minutes, than what the most optimistic forecast is predicting for the Perseids in 1 hour. Multiply that by 4 hrs..

Yeah. It's easy to forget that what gets an astronomer excited might be a meteor every 30 seconds or so. Not exactly torrential.

I was in the Beartooth for the last week and saw an absolute ripping meteor going N-S night before last at a lake at 9,500'. Great night...

Pouring down rain here, and the chance of rain is 80-100% for the foreseeable future. Not likely I'll get the chance to see any.

Fairly clear skies here. Just a few clouds. I was out noticing the neat triangle of Saturn, Mars, and Antares when a bright streak above my head disappeared into the same general direction. I may watch a little more later and in the morning. Moon sets about 1:31 AM tomorrow morning.

I woke up at 1:30 and laid out on the lawn for about three hours. Not a cloud in the sky. I had a screech owl for company.

The sky cleared off long enough for an interesting sunset, but it was only teasing me. I didn't see a single star.

I was outside at 2:30 this morning. The skies were mostly clear and I saw a few meteors. I suppose if I had stayed longer, I might have been more impressed, but it was just okay. I've definitely seen more dazzling displays, but I can't complain.

I got up with my seven year old son and my wife a little before 5, totally clear and a nice dark sky out here in the country. It was pretty great, and I stayed out until the sun came up. I can only think of a couple of better displays I've seen.

Had to work 9p-9a (and wow that meteor shower brought out the crazy in folks!). Hoping for a few left over when I get out to watch tonight.
