tipiwalter, I'm so sorry to learn that he's still not your hiking companion. He looks like such a sweet dog. It must have been hard on him as an older dog, and especially on you, to see your good friend becoming ill, especially since he can't explain how he feels.

I don't think I have any pictures inside a tent looking out. But I have some pics of my tent when I've found a particularly good campsite. Kevin Palmer I think I can see why you don't hang out in the tent as much as some of us. That looks pretty tiny!

Lots of great photos - I'm especially enjoying those with large rocks/boulders, and of course the beach(es). Photos of wilderness areas are so peaceful and soothing.

I never really take such shots, but how about a room with a guanaco? You can't really see the view in this image, but it's the best I can do - I was going for a unique shot with the guanaco, not a normal landscape image. The "view" was pretty much 90 degrees to the left, with the Andes in the background. Chacabuco Valley, Patagonia Park, Aysen region, Chile. It's only a day hike, but if you head up the Lagunas Altas (High Lakes) trail from the campground where my tent was, you can see this. If you want drag the hike out for a couple of days, you could certainly camp up there. No permits, no nada.
