lounging in camp with a book. I always carry a book with me, but so far have not had any luck really reading one. By the time camp is set, some exploring done, and dinner eaten, I'm just too tired. But I refuse to leave it behind because I know that if I do, that will be the trip where I'll have lots of time. lol. On our most recent trip, I started pulling stuff out of my pack the night before Day 1 (lightening the load) and while I sacrificed my camp shoes, I wouldn't leave my book. On our rest day, we were all prepared to enjoy a couple of hours at the river with our snacks, water and books. I took some pictures and scouted out some nice spots for sitting and relaxing. And then the clouds moved in and the weather turned. I did read in the tent some, but overall it wasn't very comfortable!

Ah...our secret weapon is the thermalounger! www.rei.com/product/829896/therm-a-rest-compack-chair-kit-20We have older versions that have more substance (and weigh more). I have my eye on these to try to lighten the load without giving up our comfort!
