I am looking for a 3 night backpacking trip near Vancouver. We are already doing the Juan De Fuca trail, so I would like to do something in the mountains to the north to experience both aspects of the area. A loop would be preferable since we will only have one car. We have limited time in the area so we want to see the most spectacular sights and we are willing to hike 5-15 miles per day.

Or ask bpbasecamp.freeforums.net/user/280Vancouver is beautiful, as is the coast. I think there is a coast hike in the area. But I think there is also allot of logging. But "spectacular" ? I went to a kayak race near Mt Baker, and the Canadians were running it apparently that is where they go, and they said to me , oh you are an American!?? (they also kayak north of there in CA) Really I would go to the Canadian Rockies, allot of driving, but the drive from Lake Lousie to Jasper is good as most backpacks. and the weather will probably be clearer. Still I don't know the area that well and don't have any guidebooks handy.
