Ziploc makes some storage containers with screw on lids that might be what you are looking for. 16 & 32 ounce sizes. According to their site, these weigh less than 1 ounce. I have experimented with these for the spousal lunch and he claims that they do leak a little. We usually give our zip-locks a little rinse after the meal and let them dry, just to reduce the weight and make them less likely to grow stuff, and thus more likely to be reusable.

I bring a quart-sized freezer bag and a cut-off water bottle with a little cozy around it. Plastic bottles do not melt when boiling water is poured into them, their melting point is too high. Not that you asked, but Outdoor Herbivore makes some fantastic stoveless meals. Very tasty, energizing, and good amount of calories per ounce. Hop Pea Slop, Sunny Salad, Pesto, and Switchback Stuffer are my favs, and I bring them on every trip.
