I am looking for suggestions for a family trip in early August. We are looking for a nice trail that we can hike 3-4 days, or a general area where we can day hike for 3-4 days with decent lodging nearby. I haven't spent much time in the Northeast and don't know what areas I should focus on, or what areas to avoid. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks Jeff

Jeff,
I love Mt. Moosilaukee. Dayhike that with the South Peak up Asquam Ridge and down Snapper and Gorge Brook one day, the Franconia Ridge another day, any number of things the other day. Moosilaukee favorite dayhike in East. Doing the Osceolas with a shuttle from Kancamagus to Tripoli Road AWESOME. Watch out for leeches in Greeley Ponds.
