When I am looking for used gear I tend to look locally first (Craigslist, Kijiji, etc). A local sale allows you to inspect the item first and saves you on shipping which can be substantial. If I do buy something that requires shipping, that cost is always factored into what I am willing to pay so, selling locally can sometimes get you a better price as well.

When I shop eBay for used gear, I tend to look for a big discount and lots of pictures. Details matter. The more detail in the description, the better the chance of a sale. If you were looking for a sleeping bag for backpacking, would you not want to know what it weighs? Very few people list weights, so you have to depend on the description or being able to find the product specs somewhere. You are taking a big chance that the item will be what you expect. If it isn't, your choices are limited. I've bought a few items that turned out not to be what I thought they were. I just bought a piece of 1443R Tyvek that was not well described and appeared to be wider than normal. It turned out to be 60" wide, which was OK, but not what I was looking for. Some well known items will command a premium, such as Western Mountaineering sleeping bags. Pictures and description are key to selling. What is it? How old is it? How much has it been used? Is it complete? What are your terms? What are the shipping and handling costs. Excessive shipping costs can kill a sale.

Im currently listing at 425 That sounds about right to me, even a bit on the low side. I think it will just take awhile since, as has been pointed out, this is a rather specialized piece of gear. This is a good deal, you just need to find the right buyer.
