Wrong team won, but great game!
Oh, and props to LSU for scheduling games in Syracuse and Wisconsin in consecutive years. Hopefully the rest of the SEC will start scheduling games north of Tennessee.

I missed Syracuse this year, but I'm hoping to go to Green Bay in September. My office is moving, and they are encouraging us to take vacation during that time.

Ummm...I guess Kevin is usually found in the library on Saturdays in the fall? I know, I know...one student isn't necessarily a good representative sample. Maybe Free Shoes University confused him as the new(er) definition of FSU is Free Seafood University...right? I know he's not old enough to remember the shoes thing.

Incidentally, a kid from NC State will be on tomorrow -- he was the quiz bowl captain of my nephew's team in Greensboro, NC!

The Saturday Evening Convicts League is the travesty of collegiate athletics but some of you folks are awesome despite your lifetime descent into the depths of cult mythology and...humor.
Now as an NFL fan I do appreciate some of those boys. GO BRONCOS!

Jealousy sounds a lot like insults. The NFL would be a pretty sad league without the SEC.

Somone send this to #CamNewton Easy, now. "Omahallelujah" had me thinking Leonard Cohen for a minute, but that was classic PHC. Love it.

I heard on the radio this morning that Ohio State will allow beer sales throughout the stadium during home games starting this fall (last season allow sales only to ticket holders in club seats, etc.) I have mixed thoughts about this. I understand the revenue the school will garner from such sales. At the same time, there are safety issues also...underage consumption (yes, I know, that already happens), over-serving of fans (and the legal responsibilities that come with it).
Just curious about your thoughts.

I guess it depends on if they sell the whole game or cut sales after halftime or third quarter like some stadiums do. I would also think wristband might be the way they go to avoid looking at IDs every single time. Then you also have the fact that beer is so over-priced in stadiums that most people don't bother to buy it. They do all their drinking pregame while tailgating. It may be a college stadium, but the majority of your attendees are alumni who are probably asking for the sale of alcohol.

my freshman year at UT, going through the student section you'd have to wade through piles of empty liquor bottles on the way out of the stands. after 9/11 they started giving students the pat-down on the way in to the stadium.

The kids are already sneakin' the booze in. The kids aren't sneaking in beer. My main concern is the tailgater who is pretty plowed when he comes in the stadium, but wants to buy beer during the game. If, say, he gets a few beers during the game and then gets in a wreck on the way home, could the university be sued for not cutting him off (or even refusing to sell to him) and contributing to the DUI? They'd have no way to prove his blood alcohol content upon arrival.
