Considering that the nearest store to me is 700 miles away (round trip), I really did not care.

Is that the high end one? I've only heard of Two Buck Chuck. What on God's Green Earth are you people even talking about? (Says the guy who set foot in a Trader Joes for the first and only time about 5 years ago.)

What on God's Green Earth are you people even talking about? Chuck is a bottle of wine that Trader Joes sells. It was $1.99 for the longest time in California.

Is that the high end one? I've only heard of Two Buck Chuck. This is why your in-laws spout off crime rates, etc., in the horrible places you've chosen to live. I'll admit to being protective of my wife and daughters, and given my experience I definitely know where to look for good info, especially regarding international locations, but in the end it's their decision.

What's funny is that I've NEVER been inside a Trader Joe's, but I do know about Two Buck Chuck. We just got one here. I may have to step inside it one day. It's just a little out of my way.

It's just a little out of my way. Same for me, but given how much people talk about them we probably ought to explore them.

Considering that the nearest store to me is 700 miles away (round trip), I really did not care. thats a mere day trip. Though that you know the precise mileage reveals your secret. It's their scones isn't it!

Must be an American thing? Yeah, the chain is only in the US. Trader Joe's is an odd sort of grocery store. They carry a limited selection, a mix of high-end goods and practical staples, all at as low prices as you're apt to find that kind of thing. So you can go there and spend an absurd amount of money, or you can go get excellent yogurt and pasta and peanut butter and decent wine for bargain prices. Most of you can probably guess by now which one I do

Most of you can probably guess by now which one I do I'd like to think yogurt, but I'd guess the wine.

I'd like to think yogurt, but I'd guess the win Both. I buy the stuff that's a bargain, and leave the expensive weird stuff to others.
