So the Clan Duncan tartan all black? It's whatever I want it to be. On that day it was all black. hahahaI actually don't have a Duncan tartan. It is mostly green. Clan Duncan isn't even a major clan anymore. They don't have a cheiftan. Clan Duncan is one of the oldest clans in Scotland, predating the Celtic era. They extend back to the ancient Picts, or so I have been told. In reality I'm an American, though I have researched my ancestry and done the DNA thingy which bears out the traditional family stories. I'm Clan Gunn. Our motto is "Aut pax aut bellum" - Either peace or war. We've been much more inclined to the latter. Have been called "The Hell's Angels of Scotland". There better not be any Clan Keith in here...

Rebecca,
My "laughter" is and has always been in fun. I think Scatman and Rumi have always known that but if not...too freaking bad. Chuckle.
If I were not incredibly regular virtually every morning and value if not require support I might indeed be a little less inclined to friendly attempts to deprecate the aficionados here.
Hike your own hike. Even if it makes you look like an aged bulldog "stud" sooner than you might think.

Tutum te Robore Reddam! My name is my clan, though we no longer have a chieftain as well. Our last died in the 1980s in Canada and has not been replaced. Now there are more Crawfords, regardless of Sept (as we have three in the Clan) outside of Scotland than there ever were inside. Australia, Canada, and the US are full of us. Can't seem to make the pic post. Got to work on that.

All my relatives from Scotland came over in the late 17th and early 18th Centuries. If you look at the history of that time you understand why the great Scot migration occurred. But I have no emotional ties other than the idea of that's where I came from. I do plan to get a Duncan tartan kilt. That is the one clan I know I am direct descendant of, though likely others as well. I know I share DNA with present day Scots with the name Duncanson.
But yea, I primarily wear kilts cause my spouse likes me in them AND to tweek the nose of a certain Mick-Limey absorokanaut. hahahaha

No offense given or taken--I knew you were joking, and was joking back. Though the value of that mobile privacy curtain in some places...I could almost do it, if not for the bugs.

Electric Pass, Yellowstone National Park back in August 2018 Man, that's a big friggin' hiking staff. Or, is it for practicing the Caber Toss?

Man, that's a big friggin' hiking staff. Or, is it for practicing the Caber Toss? No, no Caber Toss. The old post with a trail marker was just laying on the pass, so I picked it up so it could relive its glory days once again.
