My 30 year old daughter just called and told us she's pregnant. We were wondering if it was ever going to happen. Funny thing is they are in the process of adopting a six year old boy from her school and then she finds out. Of course we're all thrilled. Two at once. Man, is their life going to change.

Yay! Congratulations! Is she close by? Your life might change, too ...

Actually, they live about eight hours away in Spokane but her husband will probably be taking a new job in Bozeman, just two hours away. So, you're correct. Our lives will probably change. For the better, I'm sure.

Ah, the old "Adopt a kid, get pregnant" gig. Happens all the time. In this case, they were still undergoing the process of adoption when the body said, "This is what you want? I can do that."

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! I became a grandpa about 2 years ago. It's the most awesome thing ever. I love that kid like no other. So much so that I refer to him as my "awesome little man", or just ALM for short.

Congrats, Jer! That's great to hear. Funny thing is they are in the process of adopting a six year old boy from her school and then she finds out Hah! Same thing happened to me.

Congratulations. I'm one who did the find out you are pregnant even before the adoption finalizes. It was wonderful having the two so close together. Now my adopted son has a baby boy due five days after my other son's daughter turns two. I love being a grandma.

Congrats! I hear being a grandparent is great. I'm not sure I'll ever get to find out, but we'll see...in 10 or 20 years My bestie had 2 kids, and had just signed papers to become legal guardians to her 2 half-siblings, when she found she was pregnant. In 2 weeks they went from 2 kids to 5 (well, if you count the one not yet born). Now THAT was a shock!
