Going to do a miniature version of cutting the resurgent vines and then a Q tip of glyphosate to the cut end or just keep ripping them out until they give up?

Barberry is my bane. So far I've only ripped it out by the roots, but I'm losing that battle as it continues to proliferate. I may have to go chemical.

Going to do a miniature version of cutting the resurgent vines and then a Q tip of glyphosate to the cut end or just keep ripping them out until they give up? Something selective, that's for sure. I've managed to kill most of the big vines without killing anything else, as far as I know. The new, resurgent vines will get some sort of selective treatment. I'll search for big vines that I missed in the future as I have time. Not all of the vines are English Ivy, so I need to know what they are and whether or not they're non-native or invasive before I do anything (or nothing). I found what appears to be a 10 gallon bucket of glyphosate in the pole barn. A tow behind sprayer conveyed with the property, and I remember them telling me that they used the sprayer to keep down the weeds on the side road to the barn. So I guess going to my local hardware store and buying a pint at a time was a waste of money. I need to sell the sprayer and figure out what to do with the glyphosate. But for now that's lower on the list, or maybe not even on the list at all. It's been raining pretty much every day for two weeks, but yesterday was mostly dry and today should be totally dry, so I'm hoping to work on building the vegetable garden and creating the wild meadow.
