Man that sling light looks perfect but they quit making them ???? I have to admit that I merely collected the URL - I didn't even see that red text announcing: "AS OF 6-11-2014, SLING-LIGHT© Chairs are no longer available. We will not be taking any more orders for Chairs."That's a real shame. I need to contact them and see if anyone else is going to start producing it. Also, I forgot all about my Klymit Cush. I've not used it yet, but there it is. I looked around at inflatables (Thank you for searching, gcsaylor!), and found that there is at least one alternative to the Kaisr - it's called the " ChairBug" ($80). It's at Amazon. And this, this and this at Amazon. And there's a really cheap ($17) inflatable at Amazon. But, except for that last one, they're all relatively expensive - and all weigh in the neighborhood of 3 lbs. And, of course, there's all that air. A pump for these things would be heavier than the chairs. (Well, except for the "easy inflate" lounge thingies.) I guess we'll have to just wait for the quantum model that reorients the atoms in our butts.

I have a Sling-Light chair that I got at the thrift store for $3.00 (!) And my husband got a Crazy Creek knock-off of the Sling-Light chair that we got at a close out price. Used them on a base camp backpack trip.
We have taken low aluminum/web chairs once before, about 20 years or so ago.

I carry a Flexlite chair also. Totally worth the extra weight as I have lower back issues that makes sitting on the ground super annoying after a long day hiking. I have two "luxury" items I bring, that chair and down booties and both have earned their keep over and over.
