Back to birds, I really wish we had more information on this and related research. And I suppose in time we may. Or if we wanted to spend time searching, we might. But I wonder what this means for larger birds such as condors, eagles, ravens, and so on. Will they need to adapt? And will they be able to adapt in the Anthropocene's quickened pace of changes?
The other thing I'm reminded of is that (correct me if I'm wrong) Darwin himself did not consider adaptation to necessarily imply "progress." That is, just because Homo sapiens appears later in the evolutionary timescale does not imply humans represent progress or superiority to earlier lifeforms.
