Wild Life looks like a really cool film, documenting Kris and Doug Tompkins' conservation work in Chile and Argentina. Looks like a great film about two true heroes of conservation.

Sometimes good subjects/topics for a documentary film end up becoming less than satisfying. I hope the trailer is not indicative of how the film is because the trailer is overwrought. YMMV

It may also be at local theaters - it's at a "pop up" theater not terribly far from me now, and a "normal" theater near a friend in MA.

Well, I saw it, and it was OK. Not great. I may be biased since I knew everything before I saw the movie (self made spoiler alert). Worth watching? Yes, especially if you don't know the whole story.
For me, the book was better, adding some bits of his past that I wasn't completely familiar with.

The book is always better. Spoken like a true Ninja Librarian. I have seem exceptions—and they are all movies made from rather short children’s books, where the movie has more space for depth and development than the book does. |
