...Name the peak...and the lake in front if you'd like I'd guess the peak smack dab in the center of the photo horizon is Red Peak, and the lake is Lower Ottoway Lake ( topo). But that is a hurried guess to beat the competition.

In this case, haste does not make waste, Travis. You're up!
The pink mountain is Red Peak.

Cool, and I just happen to have a photo ready to go. Name either of the lakes in the photo and name the mountain range. The scene is composed of three photos stitched together and taken from an early, cheap digital camera. (Please don't pull the thread on the back of the photo.) Hint: If you're looking at the photo, you're looking almost due west. (I suppose that means that if you are looking at the back of the photo for my needle and thread, then you must be looking east. But you're not supposed to be doing that!)

A little more information: Both lakes are at around 10,500 feet elevation and located near a trail called Solitude. The lakes are within a mile west from the north-south divide that separates east and west slopes of the mountain range. Near here also is a mountain named for a B-17 bomber crash-site from the World War II era.

That's fairly close, but Powell Lakes are in a cirque on the east slope. You need to go a few miles WSW to be on the west slope of the divide:
The lakes are within a mile west from the north-south divide that separates east and west slopes of the mountain range

Here is a topo map centered on Powell Lakes, the closest guess so far.

You practically gave it away eventually. I’m gonna post an easy one from this memorial weekend. Sorry non backpacking related but one of my favorite town parks. You can just sit there and soak in the views. And maybe have a barley pop too, or two. What mountain range? Bonus for the name of the town I was in and the name of the park.
Maybe not too easy as our other Colorado regulars have seemed to disappear from this thread.

I did read about bomber mountain. Which is the B17 crash site located near there. Interesting story.
