#1 stove, and a 1# battery for fuel gabby doesn't care so much about weight when adding to his homebound camping stove collection.

If I understand correctly it is windproof and you can use it in your tent because the no CO from burning. Possibly two big pluses.

Someone will be able to work this out. "Use less water when possible. Be intentional with EcoSimmer — the laws of physics state that it takes 38 Wh to bring 2 cups (16 oz) of water to a boil. EcoSimmer is efficient but takes 48 Wh to bring 2 cups (16 oz) of water to a boil and will do so in ~30 mins. "
How many meals/boils can you expect to get out of a fully charged 22 oz 86.4 wh battery ? (about 38 oz for batt+stove).

Actually if you could accept coffee temp (158F) for your FD dinner instead of boiling it would save a bit. If I am doing my numbers right 8oz to coffee temp takes about 15Wh. So this would mean 5 meals that need 8 oz H2O with a little extra that could charge your phone with that battery.
P.S. I also guess that is instant coffee temp. 158F is too cold for brewing fresh coffee.

I have the same reaction as Zeke. From looking at the description I'm thinking someone is attempting to take advantage of people who are environmentally conscience.

Mid-60s my father received a MUSA alcohol stove about the size and shape of the then popular Svea 123 to test and review. The burner pot was in the base and flame had to navigate finned flue and to reach the pot atop some extended supports. Utterly high tech worthless. Cool beans he handed it to me and I tossed the stove and kept the pot set it came with. My brother Hugh has them now as it became his first backpack cook kit and does not have the decency to return them.

I had doubts that it would be efficient but I just wanted someone else to take a look to see if I had it right in the first place. I suspect that many will be impressed by the claims and those high amps batteries, overlookng just how much power it takes to get a boil.

overlookng just how much power it takes to get a boil. What they're overlooking is just how little energy a "lightweight" battery can store. These things suffer from all the same challenges as EVs, just on a smaller and more tangible scale.

What they're overlooking is just how little energy a "lightweight" battery can store. Exactly. In a perfect, lossless system, it takes 91.7 Wh to boil 1 liter of room-temperature water (20C). So you really can't expect much from a 86.4 Wh battery.

Thanks all, for confirming my thoughts. I can see where this might be useful for hearing up a cup of tea in your tent while car camping. backpacking? Not so much.
