The sun is shining, the birds are singing, my husband is out on a training run, 2016 Epic Colorado Adventure is 4 months away and counting......and I'm sitting here on the deck with a CAM boot and crutches. The week before Thanksgiving I broke my 5th metatarsal (AKA, Tiny Bone from Hell) tripping down a step. Was making progress until last week when I somehow damaged a nerve - hence said lovely footwear. Sports Medicine doctor said the bone itself is healing nicely and the nerve will just take some time. EGADS! I am starting PT this week but if any of you guys have had similar injuries I am open to additional suggestion. Oh, and feel free to throw in that your foot is not only totally recovered but even better than before. (If not, please lie Signed, Stranded Here on the Deck and Dejected

Any workout in the pool is nice.
While never having that exact injury, I have had surgery on the 1st metatarsal bone in my right foot, and that foot is better, stronger, than the uninjured one. Even within a couple of weeks of surgery, with the PT I was given, I had to do the same exercises with the non injured foot so one wouldn't out-perform the other.

Ah I did this in 6th grade doing cartwheels on the beach. I was on crutches for a month, non weight bearing. I could still "feel" the break in my foot for years when the weather was changing or it was going to rain.
I hope your bone and nerves heal up well!
