Picked up a Royal Robbins Global Expedition II shirt and couldn’t be happier. Lightweight, breathes great, drys super fast and looks great, too. Sizing was right on. Shirt is attractive enough to go out to dinner after a day on the trail. Comes in both long sleeve and short sleeve options (I bought the long sleeve). I really like the snaps on the chest pockets (they’re on the inside of the flap). Has a small side pocket towards the waist, too. Moose Jaw and REI Outlet sometimes have this shirt marked down. If you sign up for Royal Robbins emails you get 15% off. I’m going to pick up a second shirt. Regards, DR

One thing I would not use these shirts for is bushwhacking off-trail because they are super lightweight and best suited for hiking on established trails.

The weight alone can be deceptive, some weaves are strong enough they’re rather resistant to snags even though light in weight. Conversely I’ve had heavier shirts get ripped to shreds when a looser weave let just about anything get a hold.

Personally, I avoid shirts that have buttons/snaps down the front. They rub/get snagged. HYOH

Looks like a nicer version of the Columbia Silver Ridge series of shirts tbh. These are polyester which have a softer feel and can be more wicking for those who sweat more. Nylon seems rougher though the tougher fabric is often it’s selling point. Wish someone would make a hiking shirt with nylon shoulder yoke (area slowly abraded under the shoulder straps anyways which won’t “breathe” regardless) and polyester body hiking shirt. The buttons can be nice for more “flow” if needed but also provide points of weakness.
I have to stay away from the open collar and use a crew neck to avoid sizzling the area between the collar bones personally, though a similar button down is good for day-hiking in low UV seasons.

I have to stay away from the open collar On the fifth day of our latest GC trek, I realized that my collar button was fastened, and I'd been wearing it that way since we arrived at the trailhead.
