It's probably not too often that one needs help identifying a fish but on a recent hike we found this fish. Any idea what it might be? Clues... found in Lake Superior, in a small shallow bay, 2 to 3 inches long. This is what it looks like dead (yes, we found it that way)  This is what it looks like alive.

Stickleback of some kind.

Stickleback of some kind. Looks like a Threespine, which has apparently spread into the upper Great Lakes in recent years.
