Broke my little toe in late May. It was just about healed when I tore a lovely gash in my left shin day before yesterday (right to the bone). 33 Stitches later, all's good!
I turn 60 on the 21st of this month. I told my wife I'm done with injuries :D

Yikes!
How far from medical attention when you tore the gash?

Ouch. Thank goodness I am 63 and already past that stage!
Kidding aside, I've left plenty of shin dna over the years but nothing like that. Mend well and go at it again.

33 Stitches later, all's good! Good grief, did you meet up with Freddie Kruger or something? Heal well!

Ouch. Nice looking zipper. We want details. Was this in a swordfight on deck of a pirate ship? Chain saw slipped when you were carving a gnome?

Yikes! Having made us look at that, you owe it to us to tell the story.

Yikes! Having made us look at that, you owe it to us to tell the story. LOL - Yeah, I didn't put up the graphic ones. Unfortunately, no gnome carving or sword play was involve - or any kind of tool. Was on my jobsite directing guys installing a heavy powder coated steel facia piece when I tripped over a stubbed up black iron gas pipe with a pressure test valve on top of it. The valves have little brass nipples sticking out of them and one butterflied me like a pork chop. The hospital was fairly close by which was a bonus. If that had been a piece of rebar sticking up I'd have had it covered... it was just a stupid oversight on my part not to have it covered, and of course I paid the price for that mistake. For bragging rights I asked the doc to count up the stitches when he'd finished. 7 deep and 26 at the surface - :D

I've heard that some people consider exposed nipples dangerous...but this is the first case of serious injury, to my knowledge...😏

Really Brad, you don't believe in doing things part-way, do you. Ouch! Several years ago I mashed three fingers in a car door. I had not had black fingernails since I was in school and could hardly believe my bad luck. Three blackened fingernails all at once. Then later that week I mashed the fourth finger on the same hand. Now I had four blackened fingernails. And then I mashed two of the same fingers again the same week. That was only adding insult to injury because those fingernails were already black. But I was seriously wondering what my problem was. Years since, I have had no other blackened fingernails. I'm just wondering if your broken toe was a bad omen.
