Montbell used to be known for their use of stretchy fabrics, at least with their sleeping bags. Is that a feature of their garments?

HSF, I don’t believe they offer stretch down garments.

A story that doesn't (as per usual for me) have much to do with the subject, but the down jacket I've used most often in the last decade is an Orage "something-or-other" jacket I found in the "garage sale" bin at REI some time ago. It was marked both with the original price, which wasn't all that much, and a handwritten $49.95.
I took it up to the register in front of the store and said, "Is this really $50?" The guy behind the register said, "Look, I'll let you have it for $30." Since buying it, I've taken it on most every trip where I thought I might need a little extra insulation, and I also use it as my pillow stuffing (inside a Thermarest reversible stuffsack).
For the last year and a half I couldn't find it. I figured I left it somewhere or put it in a weird place. Today, I was sorting through gear, trying to start organizing things, and found it in that Thermarest stuffsack in the back of the room under a stack of tents. It had been in there since (probably) Dec. 2019, when I unpacked from a trip. It's now "inflating" in a safe place (away from the cats), and maybe I'll get to use it again soon. I felt like I'd really messed up back in February when the "deep freeze" hit us, since I couldn't find it then either despite a long search. I have other down jackets - NF, Marmot and 2 or 3 Montbells - but it's great to get an old friend back. I'll try to treat him better this time.
