Many moved over to a new MidAtlanticHikes forum in protest over the previous buggy backpacker forum. But I have been here all along and we now appear to have a core group with some new faces particularly with the inclusion of NY.And,I even notice a few starting to trickle back from there now as well and those forums haven't been real active of late.Nothing wrong with having two forums for the midatlantic as well as some really good blogs.I also participate in the southern as I live in Fl now but am originally from Va.

I'm not certain that the news of the new forum has leaked over to the MidAtlanticHikes forum as of yet.

Yeah, I don't think I've seen anything over there about this yet. Right now I still prefer over there anyway.

I see NY is now included in the Mid-Atlantic. That means y'all get drive up to Syracuse this February to experience a good lake effect snowstorm.

Hey, all you NYers, (and any one else near by) you are still welcome in the Northeast section anytime. Drop in sometime.

Currently in AZ, hiking my legs down to stubs and seeing how much salt my pores can extrude. Heading for ID in a couple weeks to do the same. And yet somehow still working too much.

Just got back from a Summit Lake car camping trip. Rode my bicycle on some of the trails in the Deschutes and Willamette NF. I'll slack off this weekend and rest my tired joints.

MRHyker's forum seems to have devolved into discussion of the WV highlands, no other topic seems to get any traction. I had not noticed that NY is now mid-Atlantic so now I'm more interested over here.
