I’m really happy with my La Sportiva trail shoes. I’ve tried three different models and been really impressed with their quality and construction. The Akyra, Ultra Raptor, and Jackal GTX have all served me well. I especially like the Ultra Raptor and Jackal GTX. I wear out shoes really fast and the Jackal has held up extremely well.
just wondering what models of La Sportiva you’ve tried and how do you like them? Italians do an excellent job with shoes.
Regards,
DR

Love the Akashi trail runners. On my second pair.
Also they are my preferred mfg for climbing shoes.

Wildcats are the only trailrunning shoes that I have ever used. Mostly I've used them for their intended purpose (i.e., trailrunning), but I have taken them on a few backpacking trips. They've worked fine, but I prefer my Merrell Moab Ventilators for backpacking.

I trail ran in the Jackal GTX until i hit my mileage limit on them. I really liked them a lot. I've since switched to Salomon, mainly for cost reasons.
