At Patagonia’s recent sale I picked up a Men's Patagonia Better Sweater Fleece Shirt Jacket. As I tend to like and wear shirt jacs for day hiking, I thought the Patagonia Better Sweater style looked and felt very nice, so I picked up a second. Patagonia had them marked down to $90, and the sale price made the decision to buy easier for me. Lots of pockets (5) in these shirt jacs. I live in a moderate climate, but it is also damp and rainy most of the year, so I really appreciated the side-entry hand warmer pockets (I rarely wear gloves). The jacket has the Better Sweater exterior with a softer fleece on the inside. Plenty of mist and drizzle where I hike, but the fleece has kept me warm on damp days. Overall I think it’s a great shirt jac. Really nice product. www.patagonia.com/product/mens-better-sweater-fleece-shirt-jacket/25840.htmlRegards, DR

I found mine to pill badly quite fast. That’s too bad. I’ve found since Patagonia uses so many different manufacturing plants for their products it has a quality control issue. Some products are great while others lack QC. Fortunately, they have an excellent return policy. I’d love to see them refocus on quality control across the board. DR

downriver: I bought mine several years ago, so hopefully they have fixed that issue. Otherwise I liked it.
