Take the path closer to the edge, especially if less traveled

Great pics & report!
The first time Mrs. Driftwoody and I visited WVA was nearly 30 years ago in late March. We stayed in a cabin at Blackwater Falls, and tried to drive up to Bear Rocks in our Ford Explorer. The road wasn't gated that morning but the unplowed snow got deeper and deeper, and finally we decided to turn around and go back down.
Fortunately we were able to get up there in a subsequent visit for a day hike in Dolly Sods, a rather unique area I'd like to explore some more.
