I plan to hike the C&O canal Towpath in May-June of 2021. If anyone wants to join me, here are the details.
I will camp at Evitts Creek campground on Friday 21 May and begin the next day. I plan to travel 10-15 miles a day with the last campsite in the towpath at mile marker 16.6. So big push on the last day to finish on 4 June.
I will stop for a couple of days on 29-30 May to visit with family at Antietam Creek camp ground for Memorial Day weekend.
This will be my second full length hike. I did the hike on the 20th anniversary of the Justice Douglass hike in 1974.

Date change to 11-25 May in order to attend Memorial Day events out of town.

Hike starts 15 Sep and will end in DC on or about 27 Sep. I'll average just over 14 miles a day. The first few days are shorter because I have to go over the mountain instead of through the Paw Paw tunnel. The last campsite is Swains Lock at mile marker 16.6 so the last day is 16.6. I hope to drop my pack for the last day.
Anyone want to join is welcome.
