If you like the look of the Nemo Meta, take a look at the Tarptent StratoSpire 2 . It has very large doors too with the poles out of the way, nice for those late night nature calls (that was for Westy...) . Franco@Tarptent

I didn't realize NEMO had come out with a new version of the Meta. I have an older one, which I personally think is a great tent. Tons of floor and vestibule space, though as has been pointed out, sloping walls limit interior volume. Not an issue for me, since I am on the short side, and my tentmate is usually a dog. I have no doubt this would be a great option. But if it were me, I'd probably lean toward the Stratospire. I've never gotten to check one out in person, but I've been reading great reviews about them for years. You wouldn't go wrong with either.

I'm only 5'8" but you can see there is plenty of room above my head . In this photo you can see the solid (fabric) inner.

As a self proclaimed "no nothing about tents online genius" the SlingFin tent seems to be the one for me. Especially with the option to purchase the full length pole. It does seem a bit on the small side though. hmmmm

if you have an outfitter nearby, go try on some tents for size. make note of the specs so you have some basis of comparison. besides the floor area, keep head room in mind too. a lot of tents waste floor area with low angle walls.
