I had an amazing backpacking trip in Kings Canyon NP August 23 - August 30. There was a pretty good story to go along with it, but in these crazy, angry times I don't feel comfortable posting it. It was the southern end of the Sierra High Route to Lake Basin, over Cartridge Pass to the John Muir Trail at South Fork Kings River, JMT to Arrowhead Lake, the cross country to Sixty Lakes Basin, Rae Lakes, JMT & Bubbs Creek back to Road's End. Hope you enjoy the pictures - photos.app.goo.gl/kgcffrbXXs4z4NKr5

Really nice photos. Kinda make you wish you knew the story behind them.... A couple of questions---which lake is the one where you are descending so steeply through talus---deep blue lake? And what does the plaque on the rock say?

A couple of questions---which lake is the one where you are descending so steeply through talus---deep blue lake? Marion Lake, and the plaque is at the lake - "Helen Marion LeConte 1865 - 1924"
