Got my first jetboil and I'm not sure how to clean the mug/cup portion since it has a fabric layer and a metal bottom thingamajingi that does something magical that I don't understand, despite my obvious technical/scientific proclivities.
Can you submerge it in water or do you just clean out the inside of the cup?

You just need to clean out the inside normally. My usual routine is to boil water in it most of the time, but I put instant coffee in it mornings. It just needs to be rinsed and wiped, which is often most easily done by dunking it in a creek or lake (I assume fish don't mind a few drops of coffee). I don't mind if the cozy is a little wet when I throw it in my pack.

Yeah, its not really rocket science. The neoprene outer isn't hurt by getting wet. If you actually cook in it, and get some food on or under the neoprene outer then you may want to slide it off. None of it is particularly fragile.

Pull the neoprene off. Clean. Simple.
