Recommendations in George Washington National Forest? Aug 21, 2020 5:50:04 GMT -8

Can anyone recommend a good activity in the GWNF that's away from the crowds and fairly representative of the Forest? I'm an experienced hiker, climber, kayaker, etc so almost nothing is off the table. Overnight trips are preferred and any suggestions are much appreciated!

For the Thomas Jefferson National Forest I'll do some variation of the Mt. Rogers Loop: www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/mount-rogers-loop-trail

I was there last October and what I got to see was wonderful in the Mt Rogers area. However, we out only for one night because of equipment failure & weather. So unfortunately I can't help you much but there are some here who are familiar with the area and if they turn up they can help.
