Heading out to the Gores tomorrow. I expect to encounter snow on the pass between the two forks of Slate Creek, but who knows how much. The map indicates a permanent snowfield on the north side, but I know that maps can be pretty inexact about such thing. I'll put the ice axes in the car, but might leave them there. Any possible info appreciated.

Can't help with the Gore Range, but hiking in the San Juans there is almost no snow left. We hiked up to 12,500 today and didn't come close to any kind of snow. I know that central Colorado has a bit more snow, but I would be pretty surprised if you have any problem with snow.

Unnamed passes (13,800+) Sangre de Cristos last week. Just bits on north facing secluded spaces. All photos looking south at north facing aspects.
