There’s reports in places such as California, REIs and other stores have little to no stock of gas canisters.
Airline travelers might run into issues at their destinations.

[ Sure, more and more. Potentially less exposure than a six day each direction road trip coast to coast.

I'm only driving 3 days each way, all the way to Anacortes, Wa. My exposure to others will be at gas station bathrooms and drive thru food choices. I figure door handles will be my biggest exposure.

Interesting. I was in Dicks Sporting Goods a few days ago and wandered by the camping section. There were more of the green propane bottles used in two-burner stoves than I had seen since well before the quarantine.

The post was in a High Sierra Trail group so I’m sure the OP was focused on the backpacking isobutane mix canisters for things like Pocket Rockets and Jetboils.

They're probably all made in that one plant in Korea.

Plenty around here, other than REI, but that’s because of the current sale.

FWIW, I drove to Austin and back (from Kansas) this week. People were well masked in Austin, but everywhere between here and there, not so much. Some gas station/truck stop type places had as little as 20% mask wearing. It’s tempting to just forego and pee alongside the highway.

This thread is about Isobutane... And there’s a side conversation about long distance driving. Lighten up, Francis.

With most every highway rest stop restroom designed lately without doors, just a right angle or two, peeing is relatively contactless. But I grab a paper towel from my door pouch just in case. On the return I hit the Purell also in my door pouch. But, yeah.

Hmmm. If you say so.

Good to know. Need to check Jackson before flying out. Late summer supply can be low enough without supply chain issues.
