even very intelligent people fall for stories like this I'm shocked! That's exactly what my psychic said just the other day! I need to stock up on toilet paper before everyone else finds out.

A post about the Loch Ness monster in Scotland from a former Italian in Australia. Next thing you know people in Finland will be posting about drop bears.
I blame it all on facebook.

how and why even very intelligent people fall for stories like this I think there's a significant % of people that just WANT to believe such hoaxes. One problem with the advent of science is that it took magic out of the world.

If you look at the outline of the fish and the spots in the first photo you can see the second is the same. All this proves is that guy in the first photo caught the Loch Ness Monster.

One problem with the advent of science... When exactly was this advent?

Until Leonard Nimoy says it's a possibility I refuse to believe.

When exactly was this advent? I don't think we need to assign an exact date for it to be real. Could be "primitive" humans, ancient civilizations, Aristotle, Descartes or Francis Bacon.... Who knows? And let's hope the advent of science is not over...unless Nessy gobbled it up.

Little known scientific FACT - Francis Bacon invented bacon. Smoked over wood, of course. Salt was used as a preservative - none of that nitrate/nitrate crap, not even beet juice. A true hero in the pantheon of greats.
Back to the original image, it looks to me like the guy tried to pick it up, fell backwards, and is now screaming in pain as various knee ligaments are being torn. I'm guessin' he won't be playing in the Over 40 basketball league after work this year.

Yeah, but my Uncle Leroy says he used ketchup. Well, at least he didn't use that fancy foo-foo "catsup". Personally, I'm a fan of mayonnaise, despite its detractors. I make my own. But I also make honey mustard salad dressing. Not much ketchup, really, except with french fries, which aren't really french, but that's ANOTHER story, which happens to involve mayo... I'd eat that fish with ketchup, though.

February 22, 1632 at 6:04 PM (Central European Standard Time) You are discounting the effects of the British ban on alchemists on Jan 13, 1404, without which science would have been suppressed for hundreds of years and the empire would have been bankrupted.
