Went hiking PCT Section B as the PCTA said self-supported section hiking was perfectly ok, ... so had family in household drop me off. It was hot and even if not hot, the UV was brutal heating up the sand. Lots of lizards and birds. Breezes kind of helped me keep hiking during the day. Big sources of water going, smaller ones dried up.
The counties surrounding Los Angeles lifted their restrictions before and it was a madhouse anywhere with a road junction. hikers challenging the high UV/soon to be melting temperatures, but mostly weekend backpackers, peakbaggers, and section backpackers ... plus a the motorcycles, etc..
Sitting at a well known cafe (outside) when a sports car club (of the elderly) from Los Angeles took their meals under a tree - they brought their camp chairs, guessing Corvette camping? - Sheriff drove by unconcerned.
