I guess we now know that many hands don't make light work.
Or should that go in the bad jokes thread?

If the fan is in a place that needs the light more than one of the other fixtures: swap out the dead bulb for one of the others?
Also once stuff is open again (thoigh as these places mainly service contractors they might even be open now if you’re not in a stay at home area) there are likely nearby huge electrical lighting places that mostly deal with commercial business but do accept retail walkins: bring the bulb there and odds are they can identify and replace it.

Lowe's and other larger hardware places usually stock the halogen lamps that just plug in, like these

How many backpackers does it take to change a light bulb? We don't know yet. We haven't got it changed. Still don't know. But we're onto our 3rd page of suggestions.

Ha! Managed to get it open last night (thanks to those who said to twist the glass—that was the key). And to my surprise, they are normal bulbs. The one that was burned out was an incandescent—wonder how long that had been there?! So apparently the fanless fixtures use halogens, and the fans have regular bulbs. Good to know. I still have to replace the fixture in the entryway, but since that’s been out since before Xmas I clearly don’t consider it a priority :D

So apparently the fanless fixtures use halogens, and the fans have regular bulbs. Halogen bulbs are very sensitive. You can't touch them, and dropping one can be, I understand, fatal to the bulb. The vibration of a fan plays havoc with them, as well as the filaments of the old-syle incandescents. Trust me on this, I have learned from sad experience. usa.flos.com/blog/how-to-choose-led-vs-halogen-lights

I like halogen lights very white light but they get like start things on fire hot. LED stay pretty cool and end up saving electricity.
