Ragnar's forge, sells Scandinavian brands like Mora, Helle, and Lauri. Its a fun project and gets a little addictive. I've been considering buying blanks (from that same source) and putting handles on them myself. The fun of doing that part myself (not to mention the ~$75 savings on the Helle Viking model) would be great. The addition part I'll just have to deal with. ha

It's spear shaped, but one side is flat. Actually, both sides are flat (saw it at a local shop recently.) Ontario calls it a full flat taper. Spyderco uses the term flat ground on their knives.

rebeccad - isn't a woman wearing a kilt kind of like wearing a dress on a backpack? Is that a Ninja Librarian thing? Ha. I don't wear a kilt. I like guys who wear kilts :( For myself, I like to wear long pants all the time, to protect from sun, bugs, and plants.

I have seen ones that are close, but maybe not exactly the same. I'd call it a spear point bushcraft. Condor makes one pretty close. $20 on Amazon.

This is an example of a Scandi grind. the edge is formed by the intersection of the two angled bevels on either side. To sharpen it, you put the whole bevel surface flat on the stone, and you move metal off that whole 3/8" wide surface. Do the same number of strokes on each side. That way the angle of the bevels is easy to keep exactly the same as when they were manufactured. You don't have to estimate the angle you want the stones to be to the edge. The bevel is flat on the stone. You can sharpen a Scandi edge knife blade a million times, because you would have to sharpen through an inch of steel before the blade was worn out. Not so with a hollow ground or flat grind edge.
If you have some yahoo sharpen it for you, he'll likely say "I put a micro bevel on the edge", which means he doesn't know how to sharpen Scandi grind knives, and he has ruined it for you. The intersection of the bevels IS the edge.

That is a beefy knife, not a lightweight. Not the greatest for slicing tomatoes, but sturdy enough to baton through wood or do any other camp task.
