Opps, I guess what I really meant was a large number of really attractive women. Fixed it. I was just thinking you left out the picture of your herd of women and letting you know it was missing.

I bought a half dozen mini groundhogs once and broke the heads off most if them in a couple of trips. They seemed really fragile - much more so than Easton nano nails. Surprised more of you haven't experienced that.

Surprised more of you haven't experienced that. I agree, they're more prone to breakage than the full size groundhogs. They last longer if you're really careful about striking them squarely on axis. That's not always easy or convenient at the end of a long day on the trail. For me the attrition is a fair trade for the weight savings.

Wish you were going to be sitting at my campfire this weekend.

Likewise. There's always someone who picks up on the most innocent of mistakes, e.k.a. "almost there" Worse than, Ms. Aden, my third grade teacher. Face it jer. You need your transistors changed.

FWIW, I am a big fan of the Easton pegs. As texasbb mentions, they pierce various types of ground very well, and I've never had one break or crimp or otherwise fail. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Face it jer. You need your transistors changed. Yeah, I need a somewhat denser array of transistors myself. I read an article a couple of days ago about how Moore's law is set to expire, but I'm just waiting for a CNTFET transplant. I suspect I won't last long enough.

Okay, I have to admit that I've been holding back information, though it may or may not be all that interesting to those of you who hold a bad opinion of Easton hollow steaks - er, stakes. I guess I'm just plain ol' greedy. The supplier has been out of these, and they won't be back in stock until April. I've been trying to get my hands on a sample of Big Sky Tube Steaks ( that's not an error, guys!), because I've heard good things about them. They're strong, they're light, they're a pretty good color (but not blue), and they supposedly cure the problem with the other Eastons by having the "cap" inside of the stake itself, instead of just on top, so that you can't pull it out when you tug on the cord. bigskyproducts.com/big-sky-tube-steak-stake-peg.aspxI admit also to reading this review on Section Hiker, which sparked my interest. sectionhiker.com/big-sky-tube-steak-al-tent-stakes-review/I feel really bad about this, I do. Great stuff Gabby. I plan on getting a BigSky Tent later this spring... I'll report back what I find about the stakes - er, "steaks." They look "well done" to me.

Face it jer. You need your transistors changed. No doubt. Where can I get that done?

Is Muley Point anywhere near Muley Twist Canyon? If so, I’m on-board for a meet-up to discuss grammatical issues and tent stakes. We carry the V-stakes that came with the BA tents. When car-camping, which is where we are most apt to run into rock-hard ground, I have a bag of giant steel spikes and a hammer, just like my dad did

I have a bag of giant steel spikes and a hammer, just like my dad did Isn't it funny how these things bring us joy as we get older (and especially if we have lost our parents)? I have a plain wool button-up Woolrich shirt that I wear fro working around the house/yard when its not warm enough for just a t-shirt. My Grandpa used to wear shirts just like that, and it just gives me so much pleasure to think about that whenever I put it on. ...or when I say, "Well, as my father would say, you just must not be holding your mouth right."
